Implementation:
People got laid off due to COVID19:
A lot of businesses started to have multiple issues, and one of them is the economical crisis that we are currently crossing in this season. This is not only for one type of business or service that has been affected by COVID19. We understand that is for everybody however, we are getting into a major issue where people are getting laid off during these difficult moments.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, we have that only in February our rate of unemployment in the U.S. is 3.5% over 328.2 million of American people.
How to find a job during this crisis:
If you are pretty social, I’m 100% that will know how to reach out to people through social media, emails, messages, and emails. For those that don’t know how to do it, I will recommend you to do the following steps:
Reach out to close friends and family and start asking if their current employers have positions. Keep on the eye that you will need to be willing to do stuff that is not related to your field or if you get lucky you will be able to do it. The important point here is that you will need to get food to the table to make sure you and your family will be ok.
Look for people on LinkedIn, and start creating conversations with random people, and start asking if they have an open position. The nice thing here is that you will be able to customize an email template where you can add your portfolio, resume and cover letter. By doing this, you can start sending the same message to hundreds of people.
You can go ahead and click on your Instagram account, and start reaching out to brands to see how you can help. Again, you can customize your profile and a message to send a nice and kind message to see if you can get an opportunity to work for them. Sometimes by doing this on this social media, you will get short-term jobs, but guess what it is money that you can make without even realizing that you can do that.
This one is a fun one, you will need to get into the internet and start looking for restaurants close to your community or even in different states. Open a spreadsheet, and add numbers and names, and look for emails. If you do that, the next step will be making calls and sending emails. At this point, you will start feeling what it takes to work for yourself, and this can be your full-time job for a while. I understand that nobody likes to do cold-calls. However, you need to make upsells and get a job to be able to make money. Also, I understand that doing this type of thing is a little bit more complicated.
Open your Google Contacts, and add all of your friends from social media, and start sending messages or open your email account, and start sending emails to all the people that have been contacting you in the past. With this idea, I’m 100% that you have so many contacts that you will be able to get more than 1 job.
Create an e-commerce site, start selling what you know, start selling what your grandmas, wife, causing, kid’s ideas and help yourself to grow yourself by doing it and help them to grow their ideas. To give you an idea, you will need to think about the skills that you have and the skills that they have. If your family knows how to make food, start listing all the items that you need to be able to cook, and create a service to send food to other people’s houses, etc.
Open a youtube channel and a tik-tok account to start sharing your knowledge and your ideas. Maybe you are afraid of being in front of the public, but I would like to let you know that you will not like what you’re doing, but other people will like what you are doing. You need to stop thinking of other’s people opinions.
How to show your current skills:
Create your portfolio: Write a blog: Share what you know, and write what you think. Make a website: Create a good experience for the end-user and write a case study.
Create your resume
Make a design about the thing that you like and teach others how your idea will help others
Rainbow Tip: Be ready to show your skills. You might have trouble or some issues right now. However, you will need to start thinking that this situation will not last forever.
Once again, do the steps above, and you will be doing “ok”!
Remember, everybody is having a difficult time right now, and we will need to keep our heads with a positive mentality.
We can do a lot of stuff from home, we just need to be creatives and be open to many possibilities.
Don’t be afraid to fail, and do be afraid to learn more.
Learn with others, and help others to succeed.
