Before Graduation…

To everybody that doesn’t know me! My name is Andres Haro, I’m a current student from Utah Valley University where I’m majoring in Web and App Development.

Now let’s go back to the story!

Getting a degree is to learn as many soft skills as you want and to get a diverse series of experiences that will show you how to become the person that you would like to be in the future. In my experience, I learned the following skills English, Public Speaking, Design, Photography, Coding, Portuguese, and many other skills.

Opinion

In my opinion, a degree will give you an idea of what you want in the future, and it will give you the path to your success. Many people will think that it is going to be a loss of your time and money, but one thing that I’m learning is that you will need to invest money in your education in one way or the other.

Paying Attention

Meanwhile, I had people telling me that I will waste my time, and UVU helped me to understand that being educated is the best gift that I can have since by going to college, I was able to develop skills that allow me to be valuable for the market.

The Process

Attending college it was not easy for me since multiple times I was working a full-time job, part-time, and attending college full-time and being a dad of three little kids. Being a college student, helps me to understand that we need to constantly challenge ourselves to be able to obtain what we want and that we need to find ways to motivate ourselves to get through the process. This lesson has been showing me that anything in life is complicated, and that is not difficult to find what you like to do.

Thank You

However, my college education is almost done. Now I need to get ready for the next thing since I am a person that likes to have goals and that has to challenge himself to find better ways to do things.

I’m almost walking to get my certificate and I would like to say that I’m grateful for having the opportunity to meet the best professors, the opportunity to learn the culture and the language at this institution. Utah Valley University has been the greatest opportunity of my life.
